Mason, a lifelong Hoosier, believes in values and policies that support our communities and people. He is running for families across our district who have spent too much time worrying about rising costs, access to adequate healthcare, and the fear that their voices no longer matter.
Mason’s priorities include making life more affordable for families, ensuring the people of District 75 have the power to decide what happens in their communities, and supporting schools by giving children, teachers, and schools the tools they need to succeed and prepare for the future.
He believes in clear healthcare pricing, fair utility rates, independent review of utility company requests for rate hikes, fair funding for towns, cities, and schools, property tax laws that don’t shift tax burdens from large businesses onto homeowners, protecting individual property rights, and state spending that helps families, not just big businesses.
Mason also believes in protecting local communities from the harmful effects of data centers by making massive data centers pay for their own power grids (instead of increasing your utility bills), making data centers use recycled mine water for cooling (instead of using your drinking water), enforcing a limit on how much noise data centers can generate (so you don’t hear them in your home 24/7), keeping at least a half-mile buffer between data centers and your backyard, and requiring data center developers to pay clean-up costs if they go bankrupt or leave town.
